Hi, I’m Jessica Neighbor, an Oakland-based voice coach, public speaking coach, author, and performer with more than 20 years of experience helping people strengthen their voices and express themselves more fully.
Through my coaching studio, I work with:

-Performers preparing for high-stakes presentations, auditions, and events

Students work on vocal technique, performance confidence, stage presence, audition preparation, and storytelling through song. Over the years, students I’ve coached have been accepted into prestigious programs including UCLA, USC, NYU, Berklee College of Music, and Princeton University.

My background in theatre training at UCLA and my ongoing work as a performer continue to shape my coaching style, which is practical, creative, encouraging, and grounded in real-world performance experience.
When I’m not coaching, you can usually find me exploring the Redwoods with my dog, spending time with my family, or performing musical improv with my troupe, Knock-Off Broadway.
Musical Improv Coaching & Creativity Workshops
I also offer musical improv coaching for performers, creative teams, and organizations looking to build confidence, collaboration, communication, and spontaneity through play.
Drawing from my experience performing with the musical improv troupe Knock-Off Broadway, these workshops help individuals and groups strengthen storytelling, listening, adaptability, and stage presence in a supportive and creative environment.
I currently coach the all-women’s indie musical improv team, The She-nanigans, and have led workshops for the Bay Area Musical Improvisation Organization.
